Prayer for Those affected by Hurricane Ike
We offer the following prayer for those affected by Hurricane Ike.
Heavenly Father, All Creation is under your control;
Guard and guide those evacuating.
Let your peace reign in their hearts;
Let them be filled with a warm meal;
And let them have safe shelter this day.
Jesus, just as you stilled the storm on the sea;
Still any fear in the hearts of those evacuating.
For just as your family fled when you were a babe
You watch over those families fleeing now.
Holy Spirit, author of Life;
Protect the lives and belongings of all affected by the storm
And open all of our hearts to help those in need.
Mother Mary, lay your mantle of protection over those evacuating due to Hurricane Ike.
