Calls to Senators Needed to Keep DREAM Momentum going
December 09, 2010

Thanks to your great effort, the House of Representatives passed the DREAM Act on Wednesday December, 8, with a 216-198 vote.

It has been a tough battle, but we cannot let up now.  We need to keep the momentum going.  As of 11am (CST), the Senate has tabled the cloture vote, which means that the DREAM Act can be brought up again in the coming days when the other issues have been resolved. Please keep you support calls coming in.

Sample Message: "Hi my name is Name and I am calling from City, Texas. As a Catholic, I write to ask your support for the DREAM Act.The DREAM Act is about fairness to high school graduates who were brought to this country unlawfully through no fault of their own, since they came with their parents. Those who would benefit from the DREAM Act are talented, intelligent, and dedicated young persons who know only the United States as their home. The DREAM Act represents a practical, fair, and compassionate solution for thousands of young persons in our nation who simply want to reach their God-given potential and contribute to the well-being of our nation. Please help do what's right for the lives and hopes of thousands of kids across America by adding your support for the DREAM Act.Thank you for your time."
