New Advocacy Tools for the Upcoming Legislative Session

The Texas Catholic Conference wishes you and your family a blessed and peaceful Christmas! We look forward to beginning the 82nd legislative session with you as an integral part of our advocacy network.

During session, we will continue to provide you with legislative news and bill reports, and we will also send testimony and action alerts as they are available. In order to help you advocate, we have added a new feature to our action alerts that allows us to include your legislators’ name and contact information in the alert. This feature is only available if you have provided us with your address.  If you have provided your address to us, you will see your house and senate district numbers and the names of your state legislators below. Please verify that your address is up-to-date and that your district numbers are accurate, using your voter registration card or the Texas Who Represents Me web site.
We ask you to verify this information because some addresses need additional information (usually your zip code + 4) to accurately determine your district. Please note that some of your legislator’s names may not reflect the names on the state web site, as we have already added incoming legislators to our database, whereas the state site has not. You may update your address and district numbers at any time here, or simply reply to this email with your new address or district information. Please know that we will never release your personal information to any other organizations.

Our Mission The primary purpose of the Conference is to encourage and foster cooperation and communication among the dioceses and the ministries of the Catholic Church of Texas. A major function of the Conference is to be the public policy arm of the Conference's Board of Directors, the bishops of Texas, before the Texas legislature, the Texas delegation in Congress, and state agencies. The public policy issues addressed by the Conference include institutional concerns of the Catholic Church as well as issues related to Catholic moral and social teachings. Learn more about us.
